This Billboard 12 inch Singles/Dance chart has many tracks that were on heavy rotation in the top gay clubs alongside current Hi-NRG hits. Entries from the likes of Diana Ross and Phyllis Nelson had more chance of becoming mainsteram in the USA, whereas in the UK, these tracks tended to remain firmly in the gay clubs and failed to get much mainstream interest or play at all.
