This page looks at the current popularity of individual 1980s Hi-NRG, Italo Disco and Euro Disco tracks I have posted on my YouTube channel. Taking each track by the number of likes each track gets on the channel, and then the total number of views of each track, I am creating curent Hi-NRG top 40 charts for each year the Record Mirror Hi-NRG Charts were published during the 1980s.

I have put these charts below, accompanied by a YouTube Playlist of all the tracks in each year chart. As I am currently posting tracks and charts from 1987, the 1987 chart leads this page, and I’ll be updating this 1987 chart regularly as new tracks get liked and viewed on the channel.

My eventual aim, once I have published all the 1980s Hi-NRG and Italo Disco charts I can find and posted the relevant tracks on the YouTube channel, is to come up with a Hi-NRG top 200 from the most liked and most viewed tracks in the channel.

These charts are quite interesting because many of the all time classic Hi-NRG tracks didn’t seem to be that popular on the channel. Instead, more obscure Hi-NRG, Italo and Euro tracks from the 80s that I posted on the channel proved to be much more popular.

These charts give quite a good introduction into the world of 80s Hi-NRG and Italo Disco, with a whole array of different tracks alongside the usual Hi-NRG classics.
