Over the years I have been searching for 80s Hi-NRG charts from all over the world. Here are two sales lists from record shops on either side of the world.
The first was from a record shop in Melbourne, Australia, from April/May 1985. The second is a mailing list fron a record shop in New York State, taken from an advert in Billboard magazine in Spring 1985. Both lists show pretty much that the same tracks were being played in nightclubs the world over. I quite like these charts they contain some real classic Hi-NRG tracks from previous years which were still enjoying widespread popularity, as well as some more underground and less well known tracks.
