This Billboard Hot Dance Chart from the first week of September 1984 is a fabulous compliment to the Hi-NRG tracks being played in by DJs British gay clubs. Ray Parker Jr’s ‘Ghostbusters’ movie theme was hugely popular in the gay clubs where the DJs would mix it into the current stock of Hi-NRG tracks from the likes of Evelyn Thomas who held the number one spot int his chart.
