This Billboard Hot Dance Chart from the second week of August 1984 is a fabulous compliment to the Hi-NRG tracks being played by DJs in British gay clubs. Ray Parker Jr’s ‘Ghostbusters’ movie theme was hugely popular in the gay clubs where the DJs would mix it into the current stock of Hi-NRG tracks from the likes of Evelyn Thomas and Hotline in this chart.
