POINTER SISTERS: ‘Jump (For My Love)’ (Planet RPST 106) Jumping the gun nationally already, as with ‘Automatic’ the 12in of this high energy bounder is a substantially different 133bpm remix (inst flip).
HOT GOSSIP: ‘Break Me Into Little Pieces’ (Fanfare HGT1) Finished commercial pressings now have a somewhat beefed and speeded up 0-129bpm remix of this chap-sung Levine & Trench-prod/penned freely flowing classically tinged canterer (0-127bpm inst flip).

This Billboard Hot Dance Chart from the last week of June 1984 is a fabulous compliment to the Hi-NRG tracks being played in by DJs British gay clubs. Laura Branigan’s ‘Self Control’, Patti Austin’s Rhythm Of The Street’ and Kim Carnes ‘Hurricane’ would all nicely fit into the Hi-NRG vibe of 1984.
